New Owners and Trainers Facility opens at Bangor-On-Dee

The first Saturday fixture of the season at Bangor-On-Dee; 25 March 2017, saw the opening of a brand-new Owners and Trainers facility. Looking to emulate the successful award-winning model at sister racecourse Chester, major investment has been committed to the Owners and Trainers experience at Bangor-On-Dee.

The new facility offers visiting Owners, Trainers and guests sumptuous surroundings from which to enjoy a complimentary two course carvery meal and beverages (including wine), as well as a base from which to enjoy their day. The facility provides an excellent vantage point to watch their star runners take centre stage on the undulating track that unfolds across the majestic Welsh landscape.

The walls of the facility tell the success stories of former runners, riders and owners who have gone on to win renowned races at courses around the country including the Grand National at Aintree, Gold Cup at Cheltenham and the King George at Kempton.

Bangor-On-Dee Racecourse Manager; Jeannie Chantler, said:

“The excellent complimentary package is overseen by a dedicated team of professionals, on hand to ensure the experience at Bangor-On-Dee is an enjoyable one. Win or lose, we hope that this huge investment in the Owners and Trainers experience will prove a deciding factor in choosing where to enter their runners in the future.”

Enthusiasm for the new facility was echoed amongst visitors on the day. Colin Roberts and John Goodman, Owners of runners Wicked Willy and Millicent Silver, shared their thoughts:

"Bangor-On-Dee Racecourse should be congratulated on their new Owners and Trainers facility. Clearly, somebody at the Racecourse has taken a good look at their race day package for Owners and decided to put it right up there alongside Ascot and Aintree in the catering league.

Owners are greeted by friendly, helpful staff and directed towards a purpose built modern restaurant where they are treated to roast dinner, free wine and somewhere to sit for the whole day. Congratulations to Bangor, we will definitely be back."

Bangor-On-Dee provides a bespoke service to each visiting party, as soon as the horse is declared, a dedicated point of contact is provided to deal with all lunch and ticket bookings and anything else guests may require.
