Jockeys Tabitha Worsley and Joe Williamson rode their first winners at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse, as more than 3,800 racegoers turned out for Ladies Day.
The pair claimed the first two races on the card, with Tabitha riding Camilla’s Choice to success in the AceOdds Bonus Codes Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle Race (Div I), prior to Joe following up on Dakota Beat in the AceOdds Bonus Codes Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle Race (Div II).
Elsewhere on the card, local trainer Donald McCain had three winners with On Cloud Nine, Simply Red and The Big Jetaway, while Brief Times, under the ride of Harry Cobden, won the feature of the afternoon, the Genesis Wealth Management Handicap Steeple Chase for trainer Neil Mulholland.
The fabulous fashion on Ladies Day was rewarded with sensational prizes, courtesy of Welsh Gold Jewellery specialists Clogau. Prizes were handed out to the top three entrants in the Best Dressed competition, with Judith, Deborah and Jane taking home some Clogau jewellery, flowers, champagne and Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse hospitality and ticket packages.
The racecourse would like all our guests and sponsors for making Ladies Day such a success and now looks forward to welcoming racegoers back to Bangor-on-Dee for Family Fun Evening on Monday 21 August.
