Fashion-conscious racegoers are set to flock to the North Wales track on Friday 2 August, when racing makes a welcome return after a two-month break. In addition to seven thrilling jump races, the annual Best Dressed Ladies Competition will take place during the afternoon and is open to ladies with a Paddock entry ticket.
Fans of Bangor have already demonstrated their commitment to attending and hospitality places across the course are completely sold out.
A variety of partners have joined forces with the racecourse to support both the races and the competition to find the most stylish racegoer. Up for grabs, shopping vouchers to be redeemed at Golden Square Shopping Centre, Warrington, spa treatment vouchers for Old Port Spa, Chester and a Gin package courtesy of Halewood Wines and Spirits.
Ladies looking to enter the competition should visit the photobooth on the lawn in front of the Weighing Room to have their photo taken before the competition closes at 3pm. Every entrant will go home with a printed memento and finalists will be contacted later in the afternoon.
The competition will be judged by representatives from Old Port Spa, including last year’s judge and founder, Fiona Harrington-Wright. In previous years, the competition has crowned Camilla Davies in 2017, wearing a beautiful white tailored coat over a patterned A-line dress with coordinating heels and hat from Ted Baker. Most recently, in 2018, Debbie Pimlett’s winning ensemble consisted of a strapless sky-blue dress and co-ordinating nude clutch, fascinator and heeled sandals.
