The 4/5 bed Stableyard Cottage is within the 17th-century building, while the 2/3 bed cottages, Afon and Derwen, are conservation area barn-style conversions of 19th-century outbuildings in a cobbled courtyard.

At a mile away Bangor-on-Dee racecourse is very easily accessible. 300 metres from the River Dee and its ancient bridge (fishing by arrangement). Convenient for Chester, Shrewsbury, Llangollen and Snowdonia. Ideal for wedding guests at St Dunawd’s church (200 yards away), walkers and cyclists staying over in the area and for short-term or long-term business visitors to Wrexham Industrial Estate, Yale College and Prifysgol Glyndŵr Wrecsam.

The Brow is a Grade 2 Listed house on the edge of Overton on Dee village with outstanding views across the Dee Valley towards Snowdonia.  The property has 7 rooms sleeping 13 people with three ensuite bathrooms and one family bathroom.  There are three reception rooms, one large dining room that seats 16 people and an old style kitchen.  There are 5 acres of formal garden, lawn and woodland with an edible forest and kitchen garden all available to explore, as well as table tennis in the cellar, croquet, a large sunken trampoline, dressing up box and games etc to provide entertainment for all the family.  The accommodation is self-catering with a fully stocked larder, and we can provide home-cooked meals if requested. The house was once home to Charles Darwin’s sister and he spent much of his childhood weekends and holidays at The Brow.
